The material this driver is made of is unclear but diagrams provided by Musical Fidelity suggest that it is a metal of some description. An interesting aspect of the MF-100 design is that Musical Fidelity supplies two sets of surround pads for the enclosures - one made of traditional leather and the other from alcantara artificial suede. Musical Fidelity M6SI Black Integrated Amplifier - M6SIBK. The M6si is a new amplifier with incredible realism and emotional involvement. At Musical Fidelity we think of the M6si as being a destination product.
We've been making top-performance digital-to-analogue converters since the early days of CD. That means the M1 DAC benefits from almost 25 years of continual development, drawing on successive acclaimed DAC designs.
Dual-differential means that the noise from one Burr-Brown chip partially cancels out the noise from the other. In a high-end Musical Fidelity system—that is, one from Musical Fidelity—you could run balanced from the M1 to a Primo line stage to a pair of Titan power amplifiers. But this is not a big deal. The Musical Fidelity M8xi’s result at 1-watt is shown in Graph 5 and you can see it’s a stunningly good result, with only two high-frequency sidebands, one at –115dB (0.00017%) and the other at –111dB (0.00028%) while the regenerated difference signal at 1kHz is, if it’s present, lost in the noise floor at –118dB.
The Musical Fidelity M5si is a more toned down everyday Strongman, fitting a bigger range of ‘consumer’ audiophile speakers – maybe contextualized to the other lower weight Strongman classes. A Porsche to drive to the shops, not that I’ve ever owned one – the Porsche I mean.
Whatever your digital source – from CD to computer to TV set-top box or DVD/Blu-ray player – the M1 DAC can upsample and convert it, producing stunning 24bit/192kHz resolution audio. In comparison, CD resolution is a mere 16bit/44.1kHz.
The M1 DAC features four digital inputs: balanced, USB, optical and coaxial. It is an asynchronous design with awesome performance: from its low-distortion, noise levels and jitter-minimising technology to its high-quality power supply, the M1 DAC surpasses the standards of DACs costing many times its price.

The M1 DAC has been met with incredible acclaim. Stereophile's review said it 'offers performance that is close to the state of the art', calling it 'a piece of kit that can transform your system ' and 'a stunning bargain'.
Meanwhile, the review from computer-audio specialist, AudioStream described the M1 DAC as 'a wonderfully musical-sounding DAC, and one that offered many hours of pure enjoyment.'
